The Waukesha Area Chamber Orchestra is an orchestra that promotes music education and experiences to people of all ages, orientation, religion, and abilities. We invite musicians to participate in a week-long workshop in the month of June. During this workshop, we hold around five rehearsals and then perform a concert at the end of the week. Each year at the concert, we collect donations for a selected charity.
Our average orchestra size for the last several years has been around 50 people. Though out the years we have had special guess soloists, worked side by side with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and performed outdoor concerts for Waukesha's Friday Night Live. There are many opportunities for anyone who would like to be a part of the Waukesha Chamber Orchestra. Just contact us at waukeshaareachamberorchestra@gmail.com.
About Waukesha Area Chamber Orchestra
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to support music education in the community and to give a high level musical experiences to everyone. We do not turn anyone away because of their background. We are a free community orchestra and play very high levels of music.
We want to spread the joy of music to everyone that might not be able to experience it any other way.

Our History
Isaac Dae Young founded the Waukesha Area Chamber Orchestra in 2008. It started as a very small orchestra of around ten people. The program grew and we are now up to around a fifty piece orchestra that has been playing at Carroll University the last several years. We now play standard symphony orchestra repertoire and have many opportunities to play in the community.
Our Staff
In January, 2017 Isaac Dae Young, founder, outlined the responsibilities of our newly functioning Executive Board. We have 6 functioning members currently and will expand based on the needs of the group.

Our Community
We are a part of the Waukesha community. All our concerts are held in Waukesha. Many of our musicians live int he surrounding areas of Waukesha. We currently hold our concerts at Carroll University in Waukesha.
This orchestra functions because of the people who support us in the community. This year we are looking to become even more community orientated by encouraging any community member to join and starting recruitment in our local schools.
If you would like to support us please contact our president Deanna Josten at waukeshaareachamberorchestra@gmail.com or on our contact page.
